Liberty Bus Concessionary Passes

News from the Jersey Disability Partnership

Concessionary bus pass for Jersey residents with long term disability & Companion pass for those who cannot travel alone on the bus some or all of the time

As you may be aware, the Infrastructure, Housing and Environment Department is extending its existing ‘AvanchiAccess’ scheme to include free travel for a companion.

From 1 October 2021, anyone who qualifies for the existing pass and who cannot travel alone on the bus either some or all the time will be able to use the new AvanchiAccess+’ companion pass. This will provide free travel for someone to accompany the passholder on their bus journey.

The scheme will be launched on 10 September 2021 and applications for the new pass can be made from this date. Passes can be used from 1 October 2021. It is hoped that over the next few weeks as many people as possible who qualify for the scheme will make an application in advance of the issue date.More information is available on-line at www.gov.je/buses. If you have any queries or require further information about the scheme, please contact the IHE Transport Team at dfi@gov.je.
