A packed St Paul’s Centre for Carers Jersey members forum today.
Liz Lewry, from the Gov Health team talked about work being done on respite solutions in Jersey, Deputy Malcom Ferey and Thomas Cairns, civil servant from social security and safeguarding policy maker, Ben Sandeman talked about Long Term Care and carers legislation progress. Peter Tabb gave a presentation about the Maison de Landes offering.
As we approach our 30th anniversary providing a voice for carers in Jersey it is encouraging to see our efforts are not in vain and there is some action underway.
A huge thank you to our members for daring to care for loved ones in Jersey and becoming part of this organisation who is passionate about providing carers in jersey with a voice and working with the government to ensure carers are top of mind and recognised for the vital job they do in Jersey.
